Napoleon Perdis

Napoleon Perdis has always sought to democratise makeup, ever since picking up his first brush at the age of 13 to help his mother prepare for an evening out. Fast forward to 1995 and the opening of his first concept store on Sydney’s Oxford Street. Vivid, vivacious colour soon became his trademark and Napoleon’s reputation soon propelled him into editorial work for magazines and television, allowing him to spread his glosspel and make trends accessible for all.

Today, Napoleon and his Creative Team have become backstage regulars at both New York and Australian Fashion Weeks where they work with the industry’s top designers to create and communicate the trends of the season.  While the Napoleon Perdis philosophy is fuelled by fashion, the brand is about runway and reality. It’s about celebrating and elevating your natural beauty with confidence-building products. Packaging boasts built-in educators and pro-tips, the collection charged with a ‘feel-fabulous!’ message of female empowerment.

Today Napoleon Perdis has 75 of its own Concept Stores and over 4,500 point-of-sale locations spanning Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. Retail partners include Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Dillard's and Ulta in the US; David Jones in Australia and Farmer's in New Zealand.

Education is a key focus for the Napoleon Perdis brand. Napoleon launched the first Napoleon Perdis Make-up Academy in 1995 and there are currently six campuses in Australia and one on Hollywood Boulevard in California, with more to launch in the coming year.

In 2008, Napoleon launched a second cosmetics line, NP Set. Now available at over 1600 Target USA stores as well as at 300 Target Australia stores, it is inspired by the notion of California cool with on-trend colours, clever packaging and the spirit of glamour on the go. The collection is 98% paraben-free and boasts organic benefits and recyclable packaging for the most discerning glamazon.

Napoleon has received many accolades for his contribution to the beauty business. Most recently, he received a Genius Award from US ELLE magazine and the International Achievement Award from the prestigious Fashion Group International for being a leader in his field. His products are often awarded industry acclamation, including a Life & Style Magazine award, and Judge’s Choice wins at the Australian Beauty Awards.
